Tracksible advertises a permanent one-site free tier and a $9.99 one-time Pro upgrade. Applausible has public iOS and Android listings, with monthly, yearly and lifetime purchase options on iOS. If you need an iPad app with iCloud sync, Applausible explicitly offers that. Tracksible includes insights for one site in Free; home screen widgets require Pro.
There is an availability caveat: Tracksible’s website still labels iOS as coming soon, and its linked Android listing could not be verified during this review. Check availability before choosing it. This is a comparison of published product information, not a hands-on performance test.
Both apps are independent companions for Plausible Analytics. They display data from a dashboard you already have access to; neither replaces the analytics service or includes its fees in the app purchase.

Free access: a tier is not the same as a trial
Tracksible’s free plan includes one website, recent date ranges, live visitors, audience breakdowns, pages, sources, goal conversions and insights. Pro adds unlimited sites, all supported date ranges and home screen widgets.
That is a useful offer for someone checking a single blog or business website. The practical question is whether those included views cover your routine: today’s visitors, yesterday’s result, the past week, and the sources sending traffic.
Applausible’s current store descriptions promote a three-day trial. Its older iOS release notes also describe basic analytics access for non-subscribers with ads. Those sources do not establish the exact free limits in the current app. We therefore do not describe Applausible as having no free tier or claim that Tracksible is the only free option.
Before deciding on price, check what remains accessible after the trial on your device. In particular, check widgets, the Insights tab and the date ranges you use. Those limits can matter more than the download button saying “Free.”
Pricing: both offer a one-time purchase
Tracksible advertises Pro at $9.99 USD once, for unlimited websites, every supported date range and home screen widgets. Its pricing page says purchases are store-specific: buying on one platform does not automatically unlock the other.
Applausible’s US iOS listing shows $0.99 for one month, $9.99 for one year and $12.99 for lifetime access. Its description explicitly offers a one-time purchase alongside subscriptions. “Tracksible has no subscription” is therefore not a reason to claim it is categorically cheaper: Applausible also lets readers avoid a recurring charge.
Compare the actual offers shown on your device. Tracksible’s figure is a website-advertised price; Applausible’s figures here come from the US App Store. Taxes, currency, platform and current offers can change what you pay. A Plausible service plan may be a separate cost regardless of which companion you choose.
Widgets, insights and the daily check-in
Both products advertise widgets and an insights view. The distinction to investigate is what each tier includes and how well the workflow fits your device, not whether either product has a widget at all.
For a useful side-by-side check, use the same website, timezone and date range. Look at visitor counts, source changes and goal conversions. A widget is a snapshot subject to operating-system refresh scheduling; it should not be treated as a continuously live counter.
Applausible describes its Insights tab as surfacing traffic spikes, trending pages and changes in sources. Its iOS listing also advertises filters by country, traffic source, page and goal. If that filtering is central to your work, check it against the specific Tracksible build you can access rather than assuming the apps have identical controls.
iPad and iCloud are meaningful differences
Applausible explicitly describes an iPad layout and iCloud synchronization of added domains. Its US listing requires iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. For someone moving between an iPhone and iPad, those are concrete reasons to consider it.
Applausible also has an Android listing, but that does not make iCloud synchronization an Android feature. Likewise, an app being installable on a compatible Mac does not establish a purpose-built desktop experience.
Tracksible’s public iOS listing is not yet linked on its site. If you need an iPhone or iPad app today, do not interpret an iPhone product preview as an availability promise. Start with the actual store listing and supported operating-system version.
Connecting your existing Plausible dashboard
Tracksible advertises two ways to connect: a Stats API key or a Plausible share link. Both Plausible Cloud and self-hosted instances are covered by its setup guidance. Available data can depend on server version, permissions and connection type.
Applausible advertises Cloud and self-hosted support, and its iOS release notes document host, API-key and domain settings. We have not verified a share-link-only connection, so it is not marked as unsupported in the table.
Changing companion apps is not the same as migrating analytics providers. The starting point is connecting the same Plausible dashboard, not replacing the website’s analytics script or importing historical data into another service. Neither comparison establishes an automatic import of saved app settings or purchases.
Treat an API key or private share link as access to your analytics. Do not include either in screenshots or support messages without considering who can read them.
Which should you choose?
Consider Tracksible if you manage one site, want the features advertised in its free tier, and are willing to confirm the current release and device availability first. Its share-link connection is also worth checking when you receive access to a client’s dashboard rather than manage the Plausible account yourself.
Consider Applausible if you need an app with public iOS and Android listings now, use an iPad, or want the advertised iCloud synchronization and iOS filters. Its lifetime option means you can consider it without accepting a recurring subscription.
If you are searching for an Applausible alternative, choose based on the feature or limit you want to change. A different app name alone does not improve your daily analytics workflow.
